Welcome to Glyne Gap School

Our school is a friendly place where all are respected and where children’s learning and wellbeing are the basis of all we do.

Glyne Gap is a school for pupils aged between 2-19 years of age with severe and profound learning disabilities. Many of our pupils have other additional needs including physical, medical, sensory and autistic spectrum condition.

We want our pupils to lead happy and fulfilled lives now and in the future and we believe learning is the key to unlocking such lives.

We are committed to a Total Communication philosophy where pupil’s individual communication needs are put at the forefront of their learning with emphasis specifically placed on developing independence, personal autonomy, functional life skills and friendship.

What a great start to the new term! Pupils enjoyed a wonderful morning out as the whole school went to our annual cinema trip to the DLWP to watch 'Rio'. This film related to the 'Carnival' topic that Juniors have covered in term 3 and was a great end to what has been a fantastic and motivating theme in school.
